By Gary Anderson – Sunday Mirror

A rising star of the BNP has quit the party so he can expose Nick Griffin and his cronies for what they really are… incompetent racist thugs.

Ex-soldier Simon Nicholson joined the party in 2007, believing leader Griffin’s claim that the party was no longer racist and would campaign on local issues.

He was even praised by Griffin when Simon came within 16 votes of overturning a 1,000-vote Labour majority on Cumbria County Council.

But after growing disillusioned with the party’s racism, Simon agreed to work with the Sunday Mirror just before and during this General Election campaign. For nearly three months he kept a diary exposing the sickening racist extremism of BNP members and the true face of the party’s far-right views.

Simon, 37, got right to the heart of the B N P ‘s election machine, At one rally in the North West, he watched as Griffin branded women in burkhas “big, black crows”.

At a meeting in Cumbria, BNP National Organiser Clive Jefferson hit out at plans for a Muslim school in Burnley, labelling the scheme “a breeding programme”.

Other BNP activists criticised mixed marriages and branded an area of London which has a large black community as “C**n City”.

Simon also secretly filmed senior figures admitting how Griffin had taken advantage of the generous expenses system for Euro-MPs, bragging that “we play them at their own game”.

Simon told the Sunday Mirror: “What I found was a party dominated by thugs who were still obsessed by race – and Griffin was the worst of the lot.

“The British National Party is a shambles and Griffin is telling lies to voters when he says he has the answers to their problems.”

A history Of Hatred Fascist John Tyndall formed the British National Party in 1982 after a split in the farright National Front movement.

The party quickly gained a reputation for racism, anti-semitism and intimidation of opponents but won its first council seat in 1993 in London’s Tower Hamlets.

Under Nick Griffin, made leader in 1999, the party has made further gains and last year won two seats in the European Parliament.

In March the BNP was forced by the courts to allow non-whites to join the party.

REVEALED: THEIR SICK WORLD

‘Muslims are going to fly the black flag of Islam over Downing St ‘ – NICK GRIFFIN in Blackburn

Here is a selection of entries from the diary kept by Simon Nicholson during his time in the BNP…

Saturday Feb 13

Drive overnight from Cumbria for “national day of action” in Barking, where “the boss” Nick Griffin is standing against Labour MP Margaret Hodge.

Arrive at hotel and see a couple of Orthodox Jewish men in the street. Regional Organiser Clive Jefferson mutters: “Look at those f***ing Yids.” Three of us crammed into tiny room, Clive rants about Muslims gang-raping “our women” and mixed marriages making him sick.

Griffin puts a couple of leaflets in letterboxes but barely speaks to a single local voter. Chaperoned through a few empty streets with two security cars and his bodyguards.

Later 30 members, including Griffin and other ex-National Front members, gather at The Crown pub in Epping Forest.

A party veteran tells us he used to live in Edmonton but moved out after it became “C**n City”. Hates Enfield – “they’re breeding like rabbits” – and didn’t think much of the BNP’s target area of East London today: “They’ll f***ing blow the place up. I couldn’t wait to leave there after what I saw today.”

Thursday Feb 18

At a pub in Sandwith, Cumbria. Clive Jefferson claims “teams of militant Asians and Islamics” will be trying to infiltrate the party. But makes clear new constitution allowing ethnic minority members will be phrased carefully so even those who pledge loyalty to the BNP will be outcasts.

When Sikh member Rajinder Singh’s name comes up, one member shouts “black b*****d”. Another asks: “What are we supposed to call them when they come to meetings? N*****s? They like being called n*****s, don’t they?” Clive suggests putting local Muslims “under surveillance” at Friday prayers and claims Burnley has metal detectors because kids have been stabbing each other in race rows.

Has a go at plan for all-girl Muslim school there, falsely claiming it will house 5,000 Muslims. Calls it “a breeding programme”.

Later communications officer Martin Wingfield admits Euro-MPs Griffin and Andrew Brons – despite slamming MPs over expenses – are gladly milking the generous EU system for all it’s worth.

“We play them at their own game”, he says, then reveals BNP support is dropping off a cliff ahead of General Election. He warns: “Suddenly our votes are tailing off. They’re going down and we can’t understand why.”

Weds&Thur Mar 16-17 JUST 10 card-carrying members on big trip to see Griffin at EU parliament, with another 28 of the 50 seats filled by random crowd, mostly blokes picked up around Cumbria – some necking vodka.

Hellish journey. At Brussels hotel a few of our lot spot two dark-skinned men and start banging the window and making monkey noises. On way to parliament, bus stops at traffic lights near a mosque – hard-core members smash their fists against window shouting abuse.

Told that on a recent trip to Brussels a BNP official spent the night in a brothel. We give that a miss. But our group, many of them out of their minds on booze, still causes chaos – reports of naked women running from room to room at 3.30am.

Journey back hellish, drunkenness and couples copping off. One female member hands in her card in disgust a few days later.

Sunday March 28

In charge of Griffin’s security at Moorclose Hotel, Workington.

He’s massively paranoid, but his security team love all the cloak and dagger stuff. Would usually be hundreds here but only about 20 today. Reflects what people think – they feel cheated. Griffin’s abandoned them and gone down South to campaign for a Westminster seat.

Griffin’s answer to the scourge of knife crime: “Most of the disaffected youths carrying out knife crime and gun crime in London aren’t ours at all – they’re criminals from other countries. They can go back there.” He claims Muslims “14 times more productive than us” and soon UK, Ireland, France and the Netherlands “will be Islamic”.

In Blackburn, Griffin claims burkhas nothing to do with religion: “It’s their way of saying, ‘We’re here, we’re outbreeding you, your Government’s paying us to take over and we’re going to fly the black flag of Islam over your No 10 Downing Street’.” Describes women in burkhas as “like big, black crows”.

Thursday April 1

Civil war among the leadership. Total chaos. Jefferson says Mark Collett, the publicity director, has been sacked, because he was “a bad influence on the party”. National organiser Eddy Butler and staff manager Emma Colgate have also left their posts – Clive getting Butler’s job.

Bulletin for key staff later reveals allegations that officials plotted a “palace coup” against Griffin. Then Collett arrested over alleged threats to kill Griffin. All the talk is of a catastrophic split and massive dissatisfaction with Griffin.

Friday April 23

St George’s Day in Sandwith – small event in local pub. Apparently there’s been a massive cock-up with election leaflets and hundreds might be useless – Jefferson can’t make the event because he’s been up all night trying to sort it.

He’s already in trouble for failing to take part in live web debate, answering questions from local voters.

Campaign up here is in disarray.

Wednesday

Unbelievable. Been asked to take a job at April 28 party’s North West office in Wigton as well as standing in the next council elections.

Party is falling apart at the seams and unpopular Griffin struggling to keep it together. Cock-ups left, right and centre and they can’t get respectable people to work for them or stand in elections.

No way I could say yes. Regret ever joining them. I want to stand against them next year because now I know how bad they will be for working class people like us.

If reading this doesn’t give you enough reasons to NOT vote for the British National Party in the 2o10 General Election then I’m afraid there is no hope for you.

Vote No To The BNP in 2010

Following on from the long week of interesting articles surrounding the British National Party (BNP) this week, it seems that Mark Collett has now been removed from the National Contacts list of the BNP.

ITN News Report of 4th April 2010

This now confirms that all three party officials connected to the ‘Palace Coup‘ attempt have been suspended from the party as in the case of Mark Collett, or relived of positions in the case of Emma Colgate and Eddie Butler.

Although as yet no official announcement on the fate of Mark Collett has been released by the BNP his Wikipedia entry has been changed:

Mark Adrian Collett (born 3 October 1980) is a former chairman of the Young BNP, the youth division of the British National Party (BNP), and was Director of Publicity for the Party before being suspended from the party in early April 2010. Source

Amongst the allegations being leveled at Mark Collett according to the leaked email are:

  • Alleged financial irregularities and ‘scamming’ concerning the procurement of print, especially large election print run, leaflets and regular publications including Identity magazine.
  • The leaking onto the internet of sensitive party information.
  • The ongoing, co-ordinated and sustained hate campaign, feeding lies to certain anti-BNP blog sites.

There have also been other indications since the leak of the email that Mark Collett had been arrested and bailed to re-appear in May, but it certainly seems the majority of the allegations are being directed at Mark Collett as the ring leader of the attempted ‘Palace Coup’ the question that remains has to be where there any other people other than Collett, Colgate and Butler? or have we just scratched the surface of this story.

Other as yet unconfirmed reports are suggesting that Mark Collett’s mother Carol who is a BNP councillor in Rothley, Leicestershire has also resigned from the BNP making her the 4th councillor to quit the party in 2010.

It seems following on from the article I wrote earlier today (Is the BNP in a new phase of meltdown), in which I was taking a look at the goings on within the British National Party This week, one of the people I mentioned in that article was Eddy Butler who was one of those senior members implicated in the ‘palace coup’ alongside Emma Colgate and Mark Collett.

In the previous article I made mention of waiting to see if any mention of Eddie Butler being side stepped would be made over the next few weeks, well it seems things have happened quicker than expected with the latest email out of the BNP this evening shows Clive Jefferson is replacing Eddie Butler as National Election Officer.

So it certainly seems to be more evidence of the email doing the rounds of the far-right websites the other night as being in fact true (read that here), that means confirmation has now been forthcoming that Emma Colgate and Eddie Butler have been dealt with by the BNP Leader Nick Griffin. This only leaves Mark Collett the only name directly mentioned in the ‘palace coup’ email which leaked out on March 31st, a short exert from the email:

An urgent briefing meeting for Regional Organisers and key officials will take place on this coming Monday 5th of April.

The meeting will cover recent events, urgent organisational matters, including a crucial update from our new National Elections Officer Clive Jefferson, and future plans.

It is expected that every Region will send a minimum of one full car and a maximum of two full cars. It is really important that key personnel from every Region are to attend.

So it would seem there is some major decent in the ranks of the British National Party, and we can no doubt expect more fall out to come to light in the next few weeks.

Vote No To The BNP in 2010

The British National Party (BNP) in Scotland seems to be suffering from internal wars between members, in an article published on the BNP Scotland website that clearly shows three BNP Scotland members are refusing to stand for election thus rendering the BNP unable to get the 12 candidates needed to gain the valuable TV exposure by way of election broadcasts.

Although the article stops short of giving the names of the candidates refusing to stand it does show the level the BNP are prepared to go, or even their complete lack of understanding that publishing such an article that will clearly damage the BNP by using their own website to attack members, it doesn’t show the BNP as the professional party they like to portray themselves to be.

What follows are sections of the actual article with my comments regarding the piece:

Three ex-officials in Glasgow have revealed in e-mails to each other the extent of their treachery to our cause in Scotland. Calling themselves ‘The Scottish Volunteers’ they have clearly stated their aim, in their words “to cause the greatest destructive effect on their (BNP Scotland) morale” and also “To destroy the party in Scotland”.

Here the BNP Scotland are making it clear that there are three members/candidates who had previously agreed to stand for the party in the 2010 General Election are now refusing to do so, and it would also seem according to the article that these three (unnamed) members are set to go out of their way to cause as much damage to the BNP 2010 campaign in Scotland.

To this end all three have refused to stand in Scotland but have tried to get seats to stand in in England. This action as they know means we have nine candidates standing now missing the required twelve to qualify for a TV election broadcast. This will cost us thousands of votes, they must understand this.

By not standing as planned in the Glasgow region they well may have cost the BNP its first Member of the Scottish Parliament in 2011 which again is something they must fully understand. This is completely unforgivable.

Here we see that the three (unnamed) people have now ruined the BNP’s chances of gaining the Election Broadcasts in Scotland because their refusal to stand drops the party below the level required to qualify for the broadcasts, I’d say that who ever these people are their plan is working perfectly, this one action alone has done some nice damage to the BNP’s Scotland campaign.

While they spread poison in England the rest of BNP Scotland have been working day and night to promote the BNP and campaign across the country, the action of these malcontents is nothing short of treason.

Here we see the BNP reverting to a rather standard type, they seem to like using the word Treason don’t they, now we see them using the same terms to describe their own members, but it does show the complete lack of understanding of the word treason doesn’t it, they clearly don’t what treason means in real terms, it just seems to be a blanket term they use to describe anyone that goes against the party.

They are already planning to gloat over how BNP Scotland didn’t get twelve candidates when it is their treachery that has stopped us from doing so.

Of course this trio of fools are being manipulated behind the scenes by ex-Tory ex-ukip rejects with their own agenda, but thanks to a loyal member we now have all emails in our procession which have been forwarded to the relevant national officers to deal with.

In this portion we see the BNP exposing another love and rather standard response to anyone that doesn’t agree with them by coming up with yet another conspiracy theory against their own members by saying that the three members concerned are being manipulated by “ex-Tory and ex-UKIP rejects” this would raise the question does anything that happens where the BNP are concerned that doesn’t involve some kind of conspiracy theory?

It would certainly seem that the British National Party isn’t the solid pulled together party that it wants to portray these days, with it’s own members and candidates going out of their way to stop the party winning seats in Scotland, if this is the true face of British Nationalism them is it any wonder why the BNP seem to be falling apart at the seams.

Just in case the BNP get wise (aka see the damage it will do to the BNP overall) and delete this article I screen capped a section of it to prove it’s existed and the screen cap is below.

Vote No To The BNP in 2010

Following on from the article yesterday where I posted a leaked document from the British National Party (BNP) HQ, today I have another one for you this time detailing the targets for fundraising set for each region and the actual money they have currently raised, as you will see with the election so close to being called the money the BNP are raising so far is simply not going to be enough to fund the election campaign for the BNP.

My thanks again have to go to the team at http://www.1millionunited.org/ who have had this information sent to them from a source within the BNP, so thanks yet again guys for letting me have access to this info.

So here we go with figures:

GENERAL ELECTION FUNDRAISING TARGETS

At the nationwide Fundraising Workshops each Region establisheda target for General Election fundraising. Below is the latest progress update provided by our Treasury Department for inspection by all officers of the Party.

SOUTH EAST – Target £20,000 – So far £7,874
YORKSHIRE – Target £20,000 – So far £3,318
EASTERN – Target £20,000 – So far £7,542
EAST MIDLANDS – Target £20,000 – So far £7,920
WEST MIDLANDS – Target £20,000 – So far £6,187
SOUTH WEST – Target £15,000 – So far £6,442
LONDON – Target £20,000 – So far £2,056
SCOTLAND – Target £8,000 – So far £1,015
WALES – Target £3,000 – So far £634
NORTH WEST – Target £13,000 – So far £4,010

These figures where provided to the http://www.1millionunited.org/ website from their source directly inside the BNP, and looking at the figures they have been given it would certainly seem that the British National Party (BNP) are failing in every region to hit their targets for fundraising, this is going to have a serious impact in their ability to campaign in the General Election.

The figures running so low are also backed up by the By-Election results the BNP have been getting this year, they have taken just 1,825 votes across eight council by-elections in 2010; with their vote share dropping as much as 50% in three of those by-elections their fund raising abilities have also been dropping at a hefty rate, for a party the size of the BNP they would realistically need something in the region of a £1 million cash flow during an election year, and you can see looking at the figures above they are way off that target.

We also need to remember the BNP are still under a membership ban which means they can’t sign up any new members, and going by the last set of accounts from the BNP their membership renewals have also fallen to 9,008 paying members. So it really isn’t looking good for the BNP in the run up to the General Election.

The London fundraising target is a very telling figure, as the Barking seat is meant to be the flagship of the BNP campaign this year, the target they set was £20,000 and the figures above show just £2,056 so it seems the ability of the BNP to launch a half decent campaign is going to be slim, unless of course the BNP divert money from other areas to spend on the London campaign.

So far the total funds raised by the BNP are (according to the leaked figures) just £39,456 when we consider the BNP have so far announced 117 candidates for the General Election which will cost them £500 per candidate to register so it’s going to cost them £58,500 just to register all the candidates they have announced that’s before they even start with paying for the campaign material, going by the figures leaked to http://www.1millionunited.org/ the BNP are seriously having problems even raising the funds to officially register the candidates coming up almost £20,000 short.

So despite the constant posting on Twitter from the BNP about raising so much money it seems the real figures show a very different story to the claims made by the BNP, but there is nothing new there we are used to the BNP making things up to make them sound as though they are doing better than they really are.

As many people already know the BNP are not very good when it comes to dealing with the accounts and anything financial having just received yet another fine from the Electoral Commission for not submitting it’s 2009 Quarter four donations register, and taking into consideration the the BNP also failed to declare it’s 2009 Quarter two donations and the total amount of donation the BNP had declared for Quarter One and Three where just under £40,000 (these figures and facts can be verified by visiting the Electoral Commission website), so again this shows the BNP have been having problems in the area of fundraising for some time now, which continues to be shown in the latest leaked figures.

Obviously the BNP supporters are going to deny the figures above are true, but all you have to do is some basic research on the Electoral Commission website.

This can again be shown by the way the BNP over stated it’s 2009 European Election campaign spending, during that campaign they made claims to have spent almost £600,000 but when they submitted the actual costs to the Electoral Commission that spend turned out to be just under £250,000 so no where near the stated claims, which proves the BNP certainly have a history of lieing to it’s own members and the press about it’s financial status.

Another consideration to remember here is the BNP are facing a large bill from the EHRC case within days, again this is going to impact on their spending power during the General Election in March/May.

Are we seeing the begining of the financial end of the British National Party? – is it really worth wasting your vote on a party that doesn’t look as if it can even raise the funds needed to mount an election campaign let alone make any major gains?
